Join on Sunday at 10:00am as we take our service online.
In response to everything that’s happened this week with COVID-19 we’ve decided to live stream our service. We encourage you to either join in from your own home, or join together with a small group to watch together.
To watch the live stream, please visit this page at 10:00am on Sunday and click the link below- you’ll be directed to YouTube where the live stream will be held. You’ll be able to watch on your computer or from a smartphone with the YouTube app installed. We’ll also make the recording available on this page if you’d like to watch at a later time.
Welcome to our online meeting space this morning! Wherever and whoever you are, we are so glad you’ve joined us. A special welcome to our Riverside friends.
Below you will find encouragement to join with God and each other in prayer and musical reflection and worship, and also information on how to continue to give. There’s a great video for kids and families to worship together. You can collect the bulletin from the link above and I hope you enjoy the livestream.
After today, keep an eye on our website – in coming days we’ll be looking for ways to keep us all in touch using the wonders of modern technology. If you would like to go on our list for email updates, please email the [email protected]

Prayer reflection with Adrian Miller
We’re uniquely created by God, and with great work in His mind for us (Ephesians 2:10). Lets give conscious thought to how we’re praying as a church. Take time to come to God, and think on who He is. Thank him for something you enjoyed this week…big or small. Perhaps think about someone for whom the next few weeks could be a big challenge. As you pray, listen for God. You could let them know you were praying, or offer them some help if you feel prompted. How else can we pray? – Set up a small prayer group chat on your phone. Let your friends know how they can be praying for you. – Use the time you would ordinarily commute to instead sit outside, and write down what God has shown you so far this year. – Is there someone you could call and pray with over the phone? – Is there someone at work or Uni you can check in on, if you’re now working remotely? – Pray for those leading churches the world over, that God would deepen their capacity to showcase His goodness and grace Pray that God would work the harm we see, for good over the next few weeks. We serve a God who offers unusual peace when we come to Him!

God is Sovereign and in control. In this time when we are meeting virtually, let us use this as a time to reflect with a different musical worship experience. I intentionally chose these songs for us to be reminded of God’s authority and His peace. I encourage us all to listen to the lyrics of each song and use the extended instrumental times to pray, either in your small group or silently.
Our first song is our prayer to see God in His rightful place, high and lifted up. We sing our praises to God and sing Holy, and that we want to see Him.
God is a great God, and I am reminded of the simple truths You give life, You are love, You are light in the darkness in the next song. I encourage you to write or think of ways God’s presence and authority has been made known to you.
The next song reminds us of God’s power and how He defeated death. Later we will hear of Jesus’ authority in the sermon. Let this song be a reminder of Jesus breaking our shame and sinfulness, rising again victorious.
The final three songs are quieter and more meditative and reflective. Submitting ourselves to God’s authority and control, knowing He holds us, can bring us ultimate peace, and in remembering that God heals and saves. Finally, we can rest in God’s amazing grace and trust He has everything under control.
I pray that this Sunday although we cannot be together in person, we are forever together with the Holy Spirit. I hope these songs can help in your time of worshipping God this week and look forward to singing and praising His Name together again.
Yours in Christ,
Amanzi Holwerda-Lawrence

I have chosen some of my favourite hymns that you can listen to or sing along to this morning. These hymns speak of the Hope and assurance we have in Jesus. The message today reminds us that the Kingdom of God is all about Jesus and acknowledging Him as Lord. I pray that reflecting on this truth will give you comfort and strength during these challenging times.
