Sid Grindley: Senior Pastor - Interim

Sid has been married to Jen for almost 44 years and they have shared an amazing life adventure together - they have 3 adult children, and 7 (soon to be 8) grandchildren. Sid has a wide range of pastoral experience in rural, urban, and suburban churches. He has a passion for “church health” and to see God’s church demonstrate loving and vibrant relationships within the church, and community, in which they serve.
He enjoys kayaking, reading, playing and listening to music, walking their miniature Schnauzer Molly, and investing time with his growing family.

David Choi: Pastor - Korean Community

Rev David Choi was born in South Korea and came to Australia in 2013.
He is married to Abigail and has three children Angela, Alex and Amy.
He trained at the Korean Baptist University and Seminary and has been serving in Pastoral Ministry since 2008.
David is passionate to be part of a Multicultural Church and has a vision for those who have been burnt out and for the next generation. He enjoys reading, cooking, fishing and bowling.

Arthur Chan: Mandarin Pastor - Interim

Arthur Chan was born in Hong Kong and had his tertiary education in Australia. He was in the IT industry for some years before he did his Master of Divinity degree at Alliance Bible Seminary in Hong Kong. Before he joined Carlingford Baptist Church, he has been in ministry for 12 years in Hong Kong. He likes reading and enjoys nature. Discipleship is his passion.

Emma Ridley: Children's Ministry Worker

Emma has been attending Carlingford Baptist Church since 2003 and has been involved in the children's ministry for many years. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and worked as a teacher at various early learning centres. Emma is passionate about children's faith formation and finding creative ways to engage in disciple-making within the family and church community.
In her spare time Emma enjoys bushwalking, origami and curling up with a good book or playing computer and card games with her husband, Peter.

Kim Poon: Business Manager

Kim Poon was born in Malaysia and migrated to Australia since 2018. He has been serving in worship ministry mainly as sound or AV technician since attending Carlingford Baptist Church. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering (from Uni of Newcastle) and with over 19 years of experience in telecommunication industry. He seeks to assist CBC to comply with existing and any new Safe Church practice/policies. He is also assessing suitable and efficient ways to improve communication and collaboration between pastoral team and volunteers/helper through church management software. He is married to Carmen and has two children Chloe and Rachel. He enjoys learning about new technologies, cooking and hanging out with family watching movies, playing various board or computer games, swimming and tennis.
